The Imperial Japanese Yamato-Class Battleship

 

          The Imperial Japanese Navy ship Yamato-class Battleship were one of the largest warships in World War 2. It was 263m long in overall length and 38,9 m in wide. It was larger compared to the other warships from other nations that participated in the war, which were the British Admiral-class Battlecruiser being 262,3m in length and 31,8m in wide, The German Bismarck-class Battleship which were 251m in overall length and 36m in wide, The Italian Littorio-class Battleship which were 237,76m in length and 32,82m in wide, and the French Richelieu-class Battleship which were 247,85m in length and 33,08m in wide. It was only second to the United States Navy's Iowa-class which was longer in length being 270,4m long, but less wider compared to the Yamato-class being 33m wide. Thus, making it one of the largest warships ever built in its era.
